εδώ ας πούμε πως υπερβάλει με τους 8,000,000 χρήστες... ας βάλουμε 6,500,000 για να είμαστε μέσα!!!θα έχουμε:
Total Revenue: $97,435,000 άνα μήνα!
λοιπόν να κάποια στοιχεία που βρήκα από διάφορα sites... και τώρα πάμε στα expenses της blizzard από το WoW!
Blizzard has 222 North American realms, 107 European English speaking realms, 83 European German speaking realms, 37 European French speaking realms, 8 European Spanish speaking realms, and 32 Korean realms. This brings us to a total of 489 realms. Let's say there are 4 GM's per realm and that they make an average salary of 24,000 U.S. Dollars per year, that means $2,000 dollars a month per GM. Which adds up to $1956,000 a month just to pay the salary of GM's. Let's say that each realm is hosted by 25 servers . That means Blizzard has 12,225 servers used for hosting the game. Plus any servers used simply for everyday office work, so we'll round up to an even 12,500 servers. Let's say that it takes 2 technicians to keep up 50 servers. That means 400 server technicians who are probably making an average of 48,000 US Dollars per year. That's $4,000 a month for each tech adding up to $1600,000 a month total. Let's move away from employee wages and into advertising. Let's say Blizzard comes with a 30 second tv spot that uses gameplay footage and a clip from a semi-popular movie from 1999. They not only have to pay the employees who put this footage together (or more expensively use a 3rd party to do this), they have to pay the company that owns the movie for using their footage. Then they have to pay the TV network that airs the aid. Let's say everytime the ad runs they end up paying, oh say $60,000 and the ad runs 25 times in a month. That's $1,500,000 a month!
Από την παραπάνω λεπτομερέστατη "εκτίμιση" τα έξοδα βγαίνουν περίπου: $5,056,000 το μήνα.... ας πούμε γύρω στα $5,500,000 μήπως δεν υπολογίσαμε κάτι σωστά... επιπλέον να βάλουμε και τους προγραμματιστές και ό,τι άλλα ψιλολόγια όπως ρεύμα κτλ! άρα φτάνουμε γύρω στα $7,000,000 με $7,500,000 το μήνα έξοδα...
τώρα να κάνουμε την μαγική αφαίρεση:
ΚΕΡΔΟΣ = ΕΣΟΔΑ - ΕΞΟΔΑ => ΚΕΡΔΟΣ = $97,435,000 - $7,500,000 =>
ΚΕΡΔΟΣ = $90,000,000 (περίπου) το μήνα!!! ΜΟΝΟ ΑΠΟ ΤΗΝ ΣΥΝΔΡΟΜΗ!!! μιλάμε δλδ για εξωφρενικά κέρδη!!!!
